Another area of expansion at Rafiki is the fish business, At the annual celebration held in July 2012, the first Tilapia fish pond was recharged with a fresh load of 1,000 Tilapia minnows, which should be ready for market in April 2013. In addition a new second pond was stocked with the same number of catfish, a species which should be quite marketable when they mature.
